Welcome to EdBucks (like Starbucks, but with more books), a blog for book reviews and more by two booklovers from Yorkshire. Here’s a little bit about us:
Edward Cooke is the author of two short story collections: SuperPeople and Arcana: 21 short stories with a twist, as well as contributing to anthologies including Elf Love (Pink Narcissus Press) and Pressed By Unseen Feet (Stairwell Books). He has written half a dozen stage musicals performed at venues ranging from Cambridge churches to the World’s Biggest Dress; lyrics for the bands Voyager Project and Philhelmon and a short film “Embargo”, a summary of the history of philosophy set in a Birmingham pub. You can follow Edward Cooke on his Facebook page, Twitter @edbucks and GoodReads author page.
Treading Lightly is a civil engineer in the rail industry*. She loves performing with the York Theatre Royal, most recently singing in a huge community production at the National Railway Museum, “In Fog and Falling Snow” and acting in “Blood in the Ballroom”, a murder mystery set in the De Grey Ballrooms in York. She also writes about transport, politics, spirituality and sustainability on her engineering blog www.treadinglightly.org.uk. You can follow her on Twitter @treadlightly08 and on GoodReads.
